Daily restore test

A backup is only worth something if it can be restored. SaintBackup proves that every day.

Turn it on

Center → Settings → Daily restore test (Cài đặt → Khôi phục thử hằng ngày): choose the run time (default 03:00) and the number of days to keep (default 3).

What the Center does each day

1. For each Agent that has a prepared copy, build each selected database as <db>_yyyyMMdd on the Center's MariaDB.
2. Count rows in the 5 largest tables.
3. Delete restore-test databases older than the retention period — only databases named <source DB name>_yyyyMMdd; other databases are not touched.
4. Send the pass/fail result via Telegram.

Using the restore-test copies

Besides verification, the daily databases double as quick reference copies: open them with Navicat or HeidiSQL to look at yesterday's or the day before's data without running a restore.
