System requirements
The Agent and Center run on 64-bit Windows and Linux, with no .NET installation required.

Database
- MariaDB 10.5 or later. A supported LTS release is recommended (10.11, 11.4, 11.8).
- InnoDB tables are backed up without a write lock. MyISAM/Aria tables can still be backed up but need a short write lock — see MyISAM and write locks.
- The Agent machine needs
mariabackup(ormariadb-backup) with the same major.minor as the server — usually already present in MariaDB'sbinfolder.
Center machine
- Install MariaDB of the same version line as the source servers: the Center needs that
mariabackupto prepare, and it is also where restores go. innodb_file_per_table=1(the default) so tables can be imported with IMPORT TABLESPACE.- Enough repository disk space: number of full backups kept × compressed size + incrementals + 1 prepared copy per Agent.
