Quick start in 15 minutes

Install the Center, install the Agent, pair them, choose databases and run the first full backup.

1. Install the Center

1. Download the Center installer from the Download page and extract it to, for example, C:\SaintBackup\Center.
2. Right-click install-center.cmd → Run as administrator. Your browser opens http://localhost:8720.
3. Set a PIN (at least 6 digits). You are now on the 1-month trial with 1 Agent.

2. Install the Agent on the database server

1. Extract the Agent installer and run install-agent.cmd as administrator. The Agent interface opens at http://localhost:8730.
2. Step 1 — Database connection: enter the backup account and click Check connection and privileges (Kiểm tra kết nối và quyền). If privileges are missing, run the GRANT statement shown (see Install the Agent).
3. Step 2 — Sharing scope: tick the databases the Center is allowed to see.

3. Pair

Choose the method that fits your network (details in 3 ways to connect):

• The Center has a fixed IP/domain: on the Center go to Add Agent (Thêm Agent) → Agent calls the Center (Agent gọi tới Center) → Create code (Tạo mã). On the Agent, step 3 → method 1, enter the Center address and the code.
• The Center is a laptop: on the Agent turn on Allow the Center to connect in (Cho phép Center kết nối vào) and create a code. On the Center go to Add Agent → Center calls the Agent (Center gọi vào Agent), enter the Agent address and the code.

Compare the 6-digit confirmation number on both screens. If they match, you are done.

4. Choose databases and schedule, run a test

1. Center → Agents (Agent) → select the Agent you just paired → tick databases, set the full backup time and incremental interval → Save and send plan to Agent (Lưu và gửi kế hoạch xuống Agent).
2. Click Run full now (Chạy full ngay). Follow progress on the Overview (Tổng quan) page.
3. When the Agent shows Ready to restore to … (Sẵn sàng khôi phục tới …), go to Restore (Khôi phục) and try rebuilding a database on the Center.
